Israel’s attack on the Gaza Strip is not over. Reporting from Anadolu, the United States as Israel’s ally rejects the ceasefire. To date, nearly 6,500 people have died as a result of the Hamas vs Israel war.
Not only attacking Hamas troops, the Israeli military also attacked settlements. As a result, many civilians, journalists and humanitarian aid volunteers became victims. Israeli attacks on humanitarian aid providers are nothing new, reported from various sources, here are 3 well-known incidents:
Dompet Dhuafa Indonesia Ambulance

The Dompet Dhuafa ambulance which was carrying out a humanitarian mission in the Gaza Strip was also the target of an Israeli missile attack. Reporting from pacudhuafa.org, a video report from the partner medical team there shows that the ambulance was damage on the front, shortly after the missile fell. The medical team in the humanitarian vehicle also suffered serious injuries.
MER-C Volunteers

An Israeli air attack targeted the Indonesian Hospital in the Gaza Strip, Palestine, Saturday, October 7 2023. One local staff member of the Medical Emergency Rescue Committee (MER-C), Abu Romzi, who was near the location died as a result of the attack. MER-C is a humanitarian social organization that operates in the field of medical emergencies.
Türkiye’s MV Mavi Marmara

Israel has also attacked the MV Mavi Marmara ship which was carrying a humanitarian mission to Palestine. The Gaza Freedom Flotilla is a humanitarian aid mission initiated in collaboration with the Cyprus-based Free Gaza Movement and Turkey-based IHH.
On May 30 2010, the MV Mavi Marmara departed for Gaza. However, at 21.00, three Israeli Defense Force (IDF) ships began moving from Haifa Harbor to intercept the Gaza Freedom Flotilla ship. IDF troops began warning the MV Mavi Marmara to stop traveling and not approach Gaza.
When the MV Mavi Marmara ignored the IDF’s warning, the next day 4 warships, 3 helicopters, 2 submarines and 30 zodiac boats from the Israeli Navy surrounded all the Gaza Freedom Flotilla ships.
Israel’s elite Shayetet 13 troops then landed on the deck of the MV Mavi Marmara by descending a rope from a helicopter. They immediately headed to the ship’s bridge and shot at the humanitarian activists. Quoting from Reuters, as a result of this incident, 9 people died, consisting of 8 Turkish citizens and 1 American citizen. Meanwhile, 31 people were injured.
